Weekend escapes can be many things, however, they can’t often provide total relaxation whilst retaining such an array of alternative pursuits.

The wine, cheese and everything else tasting, could be a trekking experience if preferred. You may, however, prefer to bask for the weekend, just knowing it all awaits, should you feel adventurous.

Since 1834, Millthorpe has been mapped snugly within the foothills, not so far from Mount Conobolas within the Central West of New South Wales.

So appealing is the architecture, that of all historic Australian villages, Millthorpe was the locale of choice for the renowned Australian film, Jessica.

Iconic films aside, there’s something quintessentially Australian in visiting a region that boasts sensational vineyards, chefs, picturesque views and antiques, whilst forgetting you had a map.
